We probably love chocolate a little bit... okay a lot. We love chocolate a lot. As you've probably been hearing, the antioxidants packed in dark chocolate is as beneficial as drinking a glass of red wine every day. But that's not the only way you can use the yummy cocoa bean to your advantage. The dark stuff is also a good moisturizer, meaning, you can chop, mix, and melt it into a creamy mask that will replenish your skin and leave a beautiful glow behind.

Or, then again, maybe not. After the NY Post reported that superstar designer Marc Jacobs exchanged vows Sunday with his lover Lorenzo Martone in a "civil solidarity pact," we see that celebrity gossip head Perez Hilton is saying it's not true. We don't really know what to believe at this point, except that we somehow tend to believe a gossip blogger over a printed publication. That's kinda newsworthy. Although Marc and his boyfriend/husband are reportedly "very happy" together, it seems that Marc's way too busy planning for New York Fashion Week in September to set the record straight. Running his own line and acting as creative director for LV have apparently got him too tied up for a honeymoon.
If he did tie the knot, wouldn't he probably have made it known already? Unlike the weddings going on in California, France's civil solidarity pacts are not legally binding -- so maybe they're holding out for a stateside ceremony.

Karl Lagerfeld

For people who want show their appreciation for Karl Lagerfeld's contributions to the world of fashion, but can't afford any of his designs, you can at least get his Cartman-esque cartoon image plastered on a t-shirt. After breaking into the video gamer demographic with his cameo in Grand Theft Auto IV, now Karl's being immortalized in graphic tee form by Urban Outfitters. He's really on a roll.Somehow the fashion guru has managed to end up in an UO exclusive collection called Beautiful Ones alongside David Bowie and the King of Pop himself. We're not sure we get the connection -- stylized androgyny? Maybe it just means that he's reached a place in pop culture where his only peers are rock stars. We cant help but point out that Karl and Michael are both competing over who can claim the award for 'Most Notable Gloved Celebrity.'
Aside from the line he did for H&M, this has got to be the least expensive market that he's ever appealed to.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America re-elected Diane von Furstenberg (at right) for another term as fearless leader, err, uh, President. The non-profit organization also announced 28 new members including Michael Bastian, Andrew Buckler, Scott Sternberg, Brian Reyes, Araks Yeramyan and Eunice Lee.Check out the full list of talents to join the establishment. The CFDA's history dates back to 1962, founding members included Rudi Gernreich and Bill Blass.
The group's mission includes a lot more than just handing out awards. There's also business support, talent development, humanitarian causes, exclusive parties and a super-secret handshake.
Tangibly, CDFA membership could translate into a new level of acceptance by stores or the public for any designer. But more importantly, it means a designer has earned respect from his or her peers. That's gotta feel nice.

The New York Times is all a-flutter over the trend of men wearing dress shorts to work. Really? That's a trend? Click here. Debatably hot, but for formal work? Would you trust your trust fund to those calves?
The trend regrettably reminds us of those weird boys in school who wore shorts all year round for no apparent reason. Obviously, the men in the photos look more stylish, but we think part of them still may be on their way to Chess Club.
